VPN Connection
This guide explains how to connect to the Etnetera corporate VPN.
Requirements
- Company laptop or approved device
- VPN client installed (see below)
- Login credentials from the IT team (sent by email on your first day)
Installing the Client
macOS

brew install --cask tunnelblickOr download the installer from tunnelblick.net.
Windows
Download and install OpenVPN GUI from the official source.
Linux

sudo apt install openvpn network-manager-openvpn-gnomeConfiguration
- Contact the IT team via Slack #it-help — we'll send you an
.ovpnconfiguration file. - Import the configuration into your VPN client.
- Sign in with your corporate credentials (same as Google Workspace).
Connecting
Once the configuration is imported:
- Open the VPN client
- Select the etnetera-prod profile
- Click Connect
- Enter your password (if MFA is configured, approve in the Authenticator app)
Important
VPN is required to access internal systems (GitLab, Confluence, internal APIs). Without VPN you will only have access to public resources.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Solution |
|---|---|
| Cannot connect | Check your password, try restarting the client |
| Slow connection | Try the vpn2.etnetera.cz server |
| Certificate expired | Contact IT — #it-help |
